PDUAM offers Higher Secondary (HS) courses (10+2) only in Science stream under the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, Guwahati. The twoyear HS course is governed by the rules and regulations of the Council. Students are to note that admission to HS First Year is held in order of merit. This 2 years course comprises of two examinations-
H.S. First Year and
H.S. Final Year or Second Year.
Promotion to HS second year is entirely depends on the successful completion of H.S. first year examination conducted by the College itself following the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) guidelines.
Candidates seeking admission into the HS First Year must have passed the HSLC Examination under SEBA/CBSE or any other equivalent examination under State/Central Boards recognized by the competent authorities. Admission into the HS course will be given as per the specified percentage of marks to be prescribed by the Admission Committee of the Mahavidyalaya.
The following subjects are offered in the HS course: (a) English (b) MIL (Bengali)/Alternative English (c) Chemistry (d) Physics (f) Mathematics (g) Biology (h) Statistics. The following combinations are on offer. Candidates can choose any one from the following.

The total number of seats is 250. In accordance with the Government policy, there is a provision for reservation of seats for candidates belonging to OBC, MOBC, SC, ST (Plain), and ST (Hills). Some seats are also reserved for Differentlyabled, NCC, Scout and Guide and the candidates excelling in cocurricular activities.
PDUAM, Eraligool offers ThreeYear Degree Courses (Honours and General) only in Science stream following Choice Based Credit System(CBCS) leading to BSc degree under the academic management of Assam University, Silchar (AUS). Being affiliated to AUS, the Mahavidyalaya is governed by the Statutes, Rules and Regulations of the University. This 3 years course comprises of six semesters- (i) First Semester, (ii) Second Semester, (iii) Third Semester, (iv) Fourth Semester, (v) Fifth Semester and (vi) Sixth Semester. Promotion to next semester is solely depending on the rules and regulations of Assam University (AU), Silchar.
1) Candidates seeking admission into the BSc First Semester must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Final Examination under AHSEC or any equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Board/Council. 2) Admission into the BSc course will be given as per the specified percentage of marks to be prescribed by the Admission Committee of the Mahavidyalaya. 3) No candidate shall be allowed to offer Botany/ Chemistry/ Zoology/ mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics as one of the course or subject unless he/she has passed the concerned subject in the qualifying examination.
BSc under CBCS is a 6 semester programme of 3 years duration. There are two programmes under CBCS namely- a) TDC (CBCS) Honours and b) TDC (CBCS) General. In CBCS pattern, a candidate must choose the following courses in a programme of study.
Core subject/ Course: A Core Course is the main course which is to be compulsorily studied by a student
Generic Elective (GE) Courses: An Elective Course chosen from an unrelated discipline/subject with an intention to seek exposure beyond discipline/s of choice
Additional GE Course (AGE): This additional course shall be treated as GE Course in all respects but performance under such additional course shall NOT be considered for calculation of SGPA/ CGPA/ Award of Degree
Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC): AECC courses are the courses based upon the content that leads to Knowledge enhancement; i. Environmental Science and ii. English/MIL Communication.
